Literature Text

It was another quiet night with blue skies and little to do. The four teenage friends in Team-Fish gathered on Skype at their individual homes as they did most nights. Storm, Soi, Ryoka and Wah, each student from different colleges (apart from Ryoka who worked) would sign in online during the evening time to initiate Skype Calls. However, these four had a special power, the power to enter the Cyber World via Skype, and within this Cyber World, they became the Nejos. Legendary Virtual Warriors who fought for the peace of both digital and analogue worlds!

Each member had signed onto Skype and Storm initiated the Skype call. The time was 21:22, about the usual time their adventures began. The call tone began, the headsets were on, the heroes were answered.
"Blue Nejo online" Storm stated both his colour and status out loud.
"Red Nejo present!" Ryoka told as he answered the call.
"Yellow Nejo, ready!" Wah said in a tired voice, followed by a yawn.
There was a couple of seconds silence. Storm, Ryoka and Wah awaited the last member to state her colour and status,
"What?" Soi replied in her usual confused yet light voice.
"Oh geez!" Ryoka moaned in a laughing tone.
"Come on Soi, we've done this a hundred times!" Wah laughed at her.
"Ginger Nejo??" Storm whispered in the microphone hinting Soi her queue.
"Oh! Right, Ginger Nejo here!" Soi corrected herself laughing with them.
"Finally!" Ryoka replied with a sigh of relief.
"Happens all the time" Storm laughed.
"So, are we all ready to go into this Cyber world I've heard so much about?" Wah asked, having never been before.
"Wait I thought you were joking?" Soi asked in confusion, her voice sounding modest and polite in comparison to everyone else, who were cool and relaxed.
"No, I was being serious, Ryoka and I travelled to a huge Cyber Dimension through Skype the other night! There didn't seem to be much but it was still pretty cool!" Storm explained to the two of them.
"Yeah, we had these wicked outfits too, it was surreal!" Ryoka replied with excitement through his monotonic voice.
"If you say so brah-" Wah began to say.
"You mean bro…" Storm corrected him, interrupting the sentence.
"Let's go!" Wah finished off.
"I'm scared!" Soi stated. Her breathe could be heard on the microphone which secretly bothered both Storm and Ryoka, but Wah did not mind.
Storm put the headset down on his desk, walked over to the door in his bedroom and closed it to prevent disturbance. He then opened his window, waved to his pet budgie, and sat back down at his laptop.
"Everyone ready?" Storm asked.
"I'm ready, let's go" Ryoka replied sounding bored.
"Wait give me a second!" Wah said.
"I think I'm…ready?" Soi replied, though she wasn't really.
"Okay let's go!" Storm ordered.
Storm typed in the accidental hidden command on the Skype chat window which revealed a new button on the window reading 'Launch'. He moved the mouse over to it in anticipation of what was next to come.
"Wait, I'm not ready!" Wah called out, but it was too late, Storm pressed the launch button and static began sparking from the laptop. Static could be heard coming through the computers and laptops of the others through their microphones. Suddenly a burst of green digital light shot out from their screens engulfing their entire bodies with digital codes and converting them into data. They slowly broke down into bytes and sucked into the computer screen reforming once more, however in alternate costumes, reflecting on their personalities.
Storm became revamped in a somewhat modernised kimono top, with a short sleeveless jacket revealing an 'F' on the chest. Short small yet near pointed yellow shoulder pads above the collar, before the neck. A wave pattern at the bottom of the top was also visible. On his right arm he had a metallic arm from the elbow down, and on his right arm, a digital cube bracelet. Ordinary trousers appearing as jeans with the same wave pattern at the bottom. His shoe had an interesting mechanism replacing the ties and a star at each heel, resembling a Sherriff's star-shaped badge. Digital data flying around him while the revamping took place, his black sunglasses reflected the digital light and his hair became neater, yet more pointed at the same time.
"Blue Nejo, Ready!" he called out as his form was complete. Several cubes shone like stars around him.
Nejo! Returns in prose mode with this original tale from the series which takes place before the comic series!

I would recommend for an insight to the characters and settings of the Nejo! Comic series!

Nejo! is (c) to me.
